Band 6 & State Rank Raw Mark

absolutely not most likely unless the person first gets like a 98 and your internal mark thus becomes around 94, then an 85 hsc exam mark will not be enough moreover, if you are ranked second and you are not confident, it doesn't really reflect that your cohort is well prepared...

    Science subjects and alignments

chem aligns the most.. 69% in hsc physics ---> 80 HSC mark 65% in hsc chemistry ---> 80 HSC mark 67% in hsc biology ----> 80 HSC mark these are 2014 figures In terms of scaling, physics and chemistry scale around the same with physics usually slightly higher, then followed by biology

Band 6 & State Rank Raw Mark

raw mark = in the hsc exam itself so 83 raw = 90 hsc = band 6 95 raw = state rank = about 96-97 hsc or something like that

    Multiple Choice Marking

My eco teacher said most students in the state get stuck on the 12/20 mark...after they break this 'barrier' so to speak, they can easily make it into the higher ranges. But yeah about 12/20 is the average...idk how an average student performs in MC / Sec II though so I can't really compare. I'm...

    Isomers help

bump I usually just draw them out and see how many I make, but iirc I did research on this and found a chart with the number of isomers to carbon chain length plot

    Multiple Choice Marking

I think I might be, what I wrote made logical economic sense in that it checks out with the theory and it answers the question. No statistics though except the stimulus, and slightly disorganised structure. We'll see in a couple of weeks though...

    Multiple Choice Marking

17/20 potentially 19/20 but I don't remember what I put for two questions, so I just took them off Hoping for 35/40 minimum for section II, because I'm pretty sure my essays are 10/20 tier each :headbang:

    NAIRU + reasons for differences

I wrote factor endowments, and used AU as an example (land resource) I wrote political insitutions (corruption) and used Kenya as an example (unaccounted government expenditure) pretty good exam if you keep up with the news imo

    Hidden unemployment question?

Yeah I'd say that's a 2/2 imo, you showed that it's not included, and that if it was it'd increase the rate

    Hidden unemployment question?

After thinking about it for a while and looking at the question, I can't imagine them giving 2/2 for not explicitly making the link that hidden unemployment decreases the unemployment rate - I don't think you can just say 'distorted' because it specifically said Australia, to which we know there...

How does eco essay marking work?

I didn't do my trial unfortunately, I missed out a whole week after eco because I was too sick to come in (lucky because eco was my last. Although in retrospect I could have came in but it wouldn't have been worth it imo) In the half yearly I got 80% (school purchased paper) Idk..if I get...

How does eco essay marking work?

For the first one I picked the wrong topic..I wasn't too sure about the changes in economic growth and instead should have focused on microeconomic reform but anyway here's the thing - my essay had barely a logical structure - I didn't adress the part about manufacturing or may have barely...

    Hidden unemployment question?

yeah that's what we are also talking about lol I think there is a hidden mark in that question where you have to specify explicitly that it will go down rather than distort, however that assumes a degree of hidden unemployment in the ecnoomy..anyway just a 2 marker

    Hidden unemployment question?

yeah that's the correct answer technically, they are unemployed as they represent resources (labour) not being used but by the definition requiring them to be 'actively seeking work' which they do not because they are eg discouraged, then figures will show a lower unemployment rate..

    General Thoughts: Economics

International division of labour --> increases gross world output, trade, TNCs that transmit eco conditions, etc I just talked about stuff like that honestly if it made logical sense in my head I put it down
