Don't expect too much. Less than 10 hours spread over two or three days would be what I would expect in a small department like deli.

Because 25% of $350 is not $350? Tax deductible does not mean you get it all back at all.

    The Woolworths Thread

I have been at Woolworths for five years and I have never, ever found one use for the union. Haven't missed not joining up at all. $7/week x 52 weeks x 5 years adds up. Save your money.

I assumed loading would be paid out. That's annoying. Why don't you just go on 'holidays' until your leave runs out? That way you get the leave loading with the hassle.

re: The Official Football Thread It's only 18 months technically, two transfer windows would bring it through until January 2011.

re: The Official Football Thread I don't know, if FIFA want a scapegoat, they might throw their lawyers behind it. I doubt Chelsea are the only ones doing this though. What is so morally dubious about selling a club to players anyway? It all depends on exactly what they did.

    Australian economy completely avoids recession

Your spiel could probably be spun as accurate to an extent. However, it is very easy to spend money when you never have to repay it. When a Labor government decides to reduce national debt, then you can claim the moral high ground. It is churlish to suggest that Turnbull's fears for the economy...

    Australian Politics

Yes and no. Rudd's safe theory was not adequately countered by the Libs. If they had replaced Howard with Costello, who knows what would have happened? Same scenario, different situation. I have no doubt the Liberals will be elected in NSW barring a miracle but surely they would hope it was off...

Who is to say that will be enough though? It didn't work for the last election. 'More to do, but heading in the right direction' got Labor home. I am scared the majority of some electorates are imbeciles and will forgive them. Again.

    Australian Politics

As Crabb says in the SMH today, the Libs just can't get on the front page of the papers or the news because Labor just keeps self-inflicting themselves. A smart Labor leader could position the Libs as overly safe because they seem to be offering little and content to watch it fold all in front...

Universities should take responsibility for builiding ethical and moral character

Luckily this is my last semester at MQ then. It's a stupid idea. If I wanted to waste three years of my life, I would have done arts units.

    Cadbury goes fairtrade

Great news - until you are forced to pay 20% more. People, for better or worse, do not care about what ethical concerns came from their goods, as long as the quality is acceptable. They should have just set up a premium brand.

If we start one now, those who have done it for the first three rounds would just have their points moved across for the new league.
