Thanks!! I already do year 10 maths with Ngo so I guess that's fine. But I need to catch up on year 9 content because my school skips very important parts of the syllabus. Like they said we do quadratics in yr 11. But it's a 500+ ranked school so that justifies it ig
Don't think it's mandatory. But for the normal class that isn't accelerated, what level of maths would a selective with similar ranking be at? Im so nervous
Is it also compulsory in year 10?. Btw what do level of maths do you guys think Girraween hs is at in year 10 cos my school is very behind at maths and I wanna catch up
Yeah I did. my highest band was like 5, and 7 for numeracy, so they look at improvement as well. So don't worry if its bad, if you didn't improve I guess don't send it.
I feel like they don't have resources there. I go the to second highest 5.3 class (dk why I got all A for my maths report), but they only have a few questions for each subtopic on teachable. Is it the same for you?
whaat I thought it was ranking 6 or something. Isn't the difference between top selective schools significant. Like the difference between Baulkham Hills and Girraween for example is great. Or do I have the idea wrong all together lol 😂
Guys what schools should I apply for next year. I made it into girra next year so please any school with a higher ranking. I was thinking of hahs or fort street
Lol that sounds fun actually (don't judge me haha). But I think maths needs foundational development first. If you rush these foundations, you will be able to solve questions but not efficiently.
Depends. It's percentile so it depends on the marks of the other students as well. But generally that's good. Try aiming for 90% tho, that's a safer range
English- uplift
Maths - Ngo and son's or dr Du ( they're quite expensive tho, especially for senior courses)
Science- I heard about Zhang and peak but never tried them so....
