Hey Jippy, Good to see another first year journo student! Where abouts are you from? Staying on campus?

I got a letter the other day with like a student planner in it? O-Week starts on the 22nd of February and we're supposed to be on campus at 9am to be shown to our rooms and everything! :D

I hope so! It's supposedly really competitive as it's supposedly the best Journalism course in australia, so I'm a little shocked that I got in! Really not looking forward to leaving Sydney though... Question to anyone who knows, do we get the application kits in the mail or what? CSU isn't...

Thanks for your reply, Andi! The major being in journalism wouldn't really help towards English teaching would it? I know there are minors in Politics and English so I think that should help in some way... I'm not too sure about USyd doing DipEd either, but I know that UNSW and UoW both offer...

Evening all, I was just wondering if it were possible to do a DipEd after a Communications (Journalism) degree? See I want to go to CSU and do journalism there as it's (arguably) the best in Australia and then if I can't find a job right away, do a DipEd. I was wondering if it were possible...

SJ, I got my acceptance letter a few days before the results came out. Pretty stoked, got into both Journalism and Creative Writing, then a few days later the one I was waiting for came- for the double degree. Now I have the tough decision of doing the double degree at Wollongong or going to CSU...
