it's pretty hard to change to other subjects you didn't originally choose though considering different subjects are on different lines, so even though you drop something you can't necessarily pick something else you like more up.
actually yeah haha how silly of me i just remembered my best friend actually changed from standard to advanced, but this was pretty early into the year 11 course, don't worry, just show them this year that you have potential :)
awwwwwk yeah i was thinking that :) but you never know i guess, talk to the english department at your school, if you're really determined to change to the advanced course, you never know, they might let you maybee
yeah sorry unfortunately i think you're stuck in standard for the rest of your time :/
also i thought you had to do advanced to be able to do extension..
i've never had that for english but for my next society and culture assessment it's an in class essay and we are allowed 2 whole sheets (front and back) of notes, so yeahh, obviously a very easy breezy approach for that one
your school really should have already explained this to the year 12's just so everyone's familiar with how everything works :S
edit: sorry realised this sounded a bit bitchy, didn't mean it to come off that way :)
honestly i think there are probably a lot of girls who wouldn't be turned off by the fact you're inexperienced and might even find it cute that you haven't been out in this world being a man whore, some would probably feel more comfortable with it as they know you probably won't pressure them...
i had to do an ancient history speech last year, and the one thing that made me lose a mark was not enough eye contact -_- lol but i don't know if your teacher is focussed on eye contact/presentation etc etc so just ask, but make sure you learn it cause you don't wanna end up feeling...
i think you should definitely stay, sure you probably get marked easier in standard, but in the end (if you decide to stay in advanced) i'm sure you'll feel much more happier and accomplished than you probably think you would :)
