I know of a few people who are doing BCom/BEc, it seems like a decent course, I think my friends are majoring in Accounting/Finance and Economics, but they aren't too realistic about landing jobs in Eco hence they did the double degree for some peace of mind.

I just read the lecture slides and write some brief notes on them. Attended most lectures, let's say 80% attendance last year.

Most Uni's I've heard should have timetables sorted by O-Week at the latest, and yeah as mentioned multiple times previously, it depends on the uni.

Doesn't really matter too much, I got a heap of friends at both Monash and Melbourne Commerce. Courses are similar in difficulty (Although I must say some of UniMelb subjects are harder). Prestige at UoM is higher than Monash for Commerce but yeah, if you can go Melbourne then go, but Monash...

If you're an interstate applicant for VTAC then yes, you get your name published on the Victorian newspapers.

different subjects have different contact hours. Most arts/commerce subjects have a 2 hour lecture and a 1 hour tutorial hence each subject is 3 hours, 4x3 = 12 hours. But yes, it depends on the subjects you chose.

I'm Doing Arts/Law at Monash and my Arts major is International Studies, I can say it's been pretty good in terms of the course content so far, the lecturers are very motivated and teach in a very friendly manner. Not sure how the other Uni's stack up against Monash in this field though.

I can't exactly remember but I'm pretty sure that it was on Herald Sun site earlier than VTAC. So 6PM on Herald Sun Site, don't quote me on it though cause I was at Australian Open that corresponding day so I didn't see my offers at that time, just heard from friends that it was on Herald Sun...

pretty much the same difficulty in first year for both courses, heaps of my friends are Com/Arts students with bigger averages in the commerce side of their degree.
