    Getting into history ext!

You only apologise if you bump a 2 yr old thread for 'lol'. You are right tho...those who can't handle it (whether it be due to the content or other subject commitments) they tend to drop it by the time most subjects reach the first assessment task

    Thoughts on SAM

more like you can't predict your own HSC marks as opposed to SAM being inaccurate. It works pretty accurate within the criteria you set - namely, fake marks which you have no basis to justify. For me and my brother it was accurate using real HSC results.

2007ers - What do you want to do after the HSC?

You don't know that:) I know many people who in their class were the smartest by heaps but only ended up with a UAI in the 80's...and I know people who weren't that smart in comparison to their class and ended up in the 90's. You don't know what UAI you'd end up with so don't always rest on the...

    Getting into history ext!

I reckon using your year 11 mark as a benchmark to determine your eligibility into history extension is stupid as it won't really indicate their possible performance in history extension. Firstly, the courses are so different from each other. And secondly, many people have the mentality that...

    economy in P&H

Prostitution wasn't as big as people make it out to be. Theres paintings of the market place and in an exam you could provide the evidence of the painting and then diverge into all market place activities. In connection to that you could bring in the idea of the scales that have been found in...

    which uni?

Theres nothing wrong with aspiring to going to UWS...I never did however I kinda missed the outrageously high 99.xx prerequisite for USYD law (as most people do). I vouch for the uni life I'm enjoying at UWS so far and the teachers have been great. Your basis for calling them better Unis is only...

    sara bisel

She has done a lot of constructive stuff however she also deserves a lot of criticism. The National Geographic magazine actually paid her to go to Pompeii and she has been accused of a lot of evidence tampering. For example, the issue in which she was featured had a photograph of a skeleton with...

    Why did Cicero support Pompey?

I addressed this in a presentation aaaages ago...Can't remember it off the top of my head but I might check it out for you when I change comps. One reason was that during the civil war Cicero supported Pompey as part of preserving the republic.

    Does anyone else agree...

In the HSC the exam looked easy...I'm sure a lot of people were surprised as to how bad they actually went. I did extremely well in my internal exams but the marking scheme had no real comparison to the HSC markers.

    Law

Seems like he's looking at the NRSL undergrad law... Offically: '06 = 85 '07 = 90 However, you also have the option of doing the STAT test and having your RET score used as an alternative to your UAI. Also, this year they were extremely flexible with the cut offs as to my knowledge.
