Beh, the server and the exam markers take their time. Check next week or something.

    galvanic cells

Yeah... in more general terms, you need two "half-cell" reactions that will work, a way to transport the electrons from one cell to the other, and a way to take away the charges that accumulate in each half cell. Rusting is a galvanic cell, in this sense. (Shipwrecks)

    strength of acids and bases

Well, it is helpful to think of acids as creating new ions of H3O+ when you dissoolve them. H+ do not exist by themselves and must bind to water. Hence ionisation. In bases like NaOH, there is no new ion created when you dissolve it. You only break the ionic...

    radioactive isotopes

Check up on information specific to the isotopes you want to research. The sites you want are easier to find if you look up the isotopic names.

difficulty of the first year math exams

Um... oh yeah... DON'T aim to finish entire paper in one 1.5 hour sitting. Do what you know best first. :p Trust me on this, the papers for 1901 and 1902 are too long to finish perfectly, even if you can (eventually, let's say given another quarter to half an hour) do all the questions...

    Maglev

Try to consider how would a maglev train stay in mid air using just the magnetic fields... i can't really see a way to do that since the magnets on the train don't change... Perhaps they convert to conventional braking at low speeds by sticking something out.

Most journals also happen to have online databases, but then you need to pay a bit of money to access most of the articles.

    books for maths subjects

Impossible. They can't clash. A lot of people did both adv chem and adv physics last year. btw, the calc book is useful for more than 1 year. :p

    Chemistry SSP (CHEM1903)

...aw. commiserations. This quota thing is so overrated. chem ssp isn't that challenging.

    extro a/c?

I mean printing things off computers. (like, you can finish off an essay at uni and print it out there.) Copy cards are only for copying. I have never used my extro, you should be able to add it at the computer access place within fisher. It's one level down, in the undergraduate section.

    chemical formula of an ester

Hmm... when writing those condensed structureal formulas, all the atoms attached to C come after it, according to functional groups. Don't be confused by this. It means that methyl ethanoate should actually be written CH3COOCH3, with the methyl off the right hand side. This groups the...

    Proof of destiny

lol. That is not necessarily true given your implications. :p Identical stimuli cannot be proven to incur identical reactions. The human mind can be as counter-intuitive as relativity, and scientia has never presumed we know our own brain yet. --- But honestly, predeterminism is not...

    extro a/c?

An extro account is like a little bank. You basically put money in at the carslaw comp access centre or somewhere down in Fisher. Money from there can be used for printing and extra downloading limits while at uni, web space, fines, buying those notes...

    number of classes/credit points

Look at it this way. Advanced labs are identical to labs in normal streams. Therefore, should you find yourself in need of sleep, stay advanced. Do you mean is it worth friday afternoon? That depends on how social you are. btw, we'll prob be upstairs.

    BOS meetup @ O-week thread!

*Note to self: :mad1: I'd soooo do something about this (like move it to NS) if I'm actually a usyd mod. * Runaway spam... why don't you get each other's msn or something? :p IRC should prob be on as well.

    chemistry help PLEASE

Some of the things you should look for is things like carbonate and hydrogen carbonate salts. (e.g. NaHCO3) These undergo reactions with both acids and bases to take away the H or OH ions, stopping further damage. On the other hand, using an acid to neutralise a base (+vice versa) isn't a...

    number of classes/credit points

Nup, but I still do chem, as of today. In any case, ppl I know in chem don't need no crack. Besides, they know CHEM. Why crack? :p I must say I speak for only half of ssp though.

bored. stuck at home w/ nothing to do

Every time there is a change to the subjects you are enrolled in you get a confirmation letter, so the unis aren't responsible for mistakes. I've gotten one almost a month in.
