    Quick Graph Question

Sorry to ask so many questions ad taking up all your time but the textbook I'm using it pretty crap at explaining. In fact, there's baely any explanation. Anyways, when doing the exponential version, when taking as x approaches infinity and zero for logs, do I do as y approaches infinity and zero?

    Quick Graph Question

Trebla, when you said - As cos x --> ∞, ln cos x --> ∞ is useless because cos x never approaches infinity - As cos x --> 0, ln cos x --> - ∞ I'm not sure how you got to that conclusion. Could you please explain it for me.

    Quick Graph Question

OH RIGHT. I get it now. So basically, there are no general guides as to how to do these graphs. Rather, you just need to follow the features of both graphs. Right?

    Quick Graph Question

so the composite function will only be defined for -(pi/2) ≤ x < (pi/2); (3pi/2) < x < (5pi/2) etc etc (including negative domains) I'm not sure how you got to that conclusion.

    Quick Graph Question

Thanks for the general tips on solving graphs. It has REALLY helped me in this section. Now I'm up to graphs of composite functions and I'm not really sure what to do. eg. Graph y=ln(cosx)

    Quick Graph Question

Thanks. That really helps me. But I'm not sure how to find the limit a y approaches infinity. I know how to do the x one (please check for me) y=\frac{1}{4-x^2} lim x \to infinity \frac{\frac{1}{x^2}}{\frac{4}{x^2}-1} which \to 0 \therefore as \ x\to infinity\ ,y\to 0

    Quick Graph Question

Hi. I'm not really sure about the theory behind graphing functions that look like f(x) = f abs(x) eg. f(x) = ln abs(x) Can someone please clarify.

    Surfing Physics Space

I'll type up the questions I'm pretty sure is wrong. 3) Two minor planets of the Solar System have periods of 3.0 years and 4.0 years. What is the ratio of the average radii of their orbits. 4) On a distant solar system, two planets were observed to have radii of 4AU and 6AU. What would be...

    Surfing Physics Space

Nah there's 10 questions in the set. But if you still want me to type it up, I'll do that.

    Got another one here. How do you change mod (1+i/z - 2) = 2 to mod (z - 1+i/2) = mod (z)

    Quick Complex Numbers Q

    Thanks freak. Can someone help me out here. I don't know how to finish this off. \frac{1-cos\Theta +isin\Theta }{1+cos\Theta +isin\Theta } \frac{2sin^2\frac{\Theta }{2}+i2sin\frac{\Theta }{2}cos\frac{\Theta }{2}}{2cos^2\frac{\Theta }{2}+i2sin\frac{\Theta }{2}cos\frac{\Theta }{2}}...

    Quick Complex Numbers Q

Thanks for the help. I've been able to finish all my homework now, except this. How would you prove algebraically that z2/z1 is purely imagenary?
