    Three Chemistry Calculation Problems (Preliminary)

Three questions that I've been having problems with: One method of extracting nickel from concentrated ores is to mix finely divided ore with carbon monoxide. Nickel reacts to form gaseous nickel carbonyl. When excess nickel was reacted with 500mL CO, 125mL nickel carbonyl was formed at the...

    Tutoring for 3U

But as well as reading and understanding the theory behind Maths, you need practice in questions to be perfect. I'd say invest in some books of practice HSC-Style questions or download the of Board of Studies or the Bored of Studies archives.

    Physics prac - need help

Agreed. Better to make mistakes now, while it's still Preliminary and when the don't count towards HSC. That way, you'd have learnt from your mistakes and be ready to take on the assessment tasks in the HSC year. Good luck! :)

    NOTEBOOK layout/organisation

Don't ask for opinions on how they work, try it our for yourself. :) That way, you can make the decision on what works for you. It's a little investment of time and money, but it could work in the long term.

I hear that you need to grow a brain. Although Bobcats would play better even with a 45 year old Jordan on their starting roster.

    NOTEBOOK layout/organisation

Re: Help with organisation I use a filing cabinet so Idon't use manilla folders, but I suggest using it in a similar fashion. Have a manilla folder for each subject, use a few tab dividers to separate each topic or how ever you want. Maybe use paper clips and plastic sleeves to group sheets...

    NOTEBOOK layout/organisation

Re: Help with organisation Purchase some document wallets/folders for each subject and use them to store sheets that you don't need. Maybe you could use a filing cabinet - I've found that they're efficient to store unneeded sheets easily and pull them out for reference when I require. Or you...

    NBA Basketball

Marion was a stats steriod machine in Phoenix. He'll get more playing time and have to be more productive in Miami just to keep the team going. On another note, Bulls for playoff push - that's my team in the East.

    NBA Basketball

Miami has the better end of the deal in terms of talent and future, but Phoenix got what they wanted in Shaquille O'Neal - a veteran with Playoff experience. He'll contribute in the ways which Suns will require, but probably not put up numbers as he's used to. It goes to show how much trouble...

    Are free periods beneficial?

At the moment I have no free periods at all and it has helped me manage my time better at home. I have learnt to prioritise my work at home and my time management skills have improved. I guess this is one upside of having no free periods.

How much weekend homework do you have?

Re: 2009ers: How was your school day? Stop procrastinating and start working! This looks like a "To Do List" thread and it's a good idea to write out what homework you have to complete, but the tricky thing is to stick to your schedule.
