How do I set out my working properly for (binomial):

Haha that was actually encouraging, considering I was feeling like shit after forgetting a "+C" when I integrated (and after 2U as well).

How do I set out my working properly for (binomial):

I got -252, but only after fully expanding (a-3)^4 and then multiplying the terms in a^2 by (-4a) and the term in a^3 by 3, and then added them. I hope there's a faster way than this.

How do I set out my working properly for (binomial):

Find the coefficient of a3 in the expansion of (3 − 4a)(a − 3)^4 Can we just write out the general term for (a-3)^4 and multiply by (3-4a), and collect like terms?

So... I haven't learned binomial yet.

Most of the hard binomial questions are usually identities. The rest of it isn't so bad usually. You're best off either focusing on other MX1 topics (as not all 70 marks will be on binomial, as has been said), or just focus on the easier parts of binomial minus the identities. The 2nd strategy...

    General Thoughts: Mathematics

What I hated most about that (freaking horrible) paper was how so much working out was needed to earn 2 marks, in more questions that one!

    "Discuss" essay questions and english

BOS definition: "Identify issues and provide points for and/or against" How do we do that for essay questions? E.g. If the question asks to e.g. "Discuss the how connections to place can impact one's sense of belonging" should we include how connections can improve AND worsen one's sense of...

How many of Donne's poems should we thoroughly know?

Apparition LOL, that's actually my fave one :) It relates to almost nothing though, so I'm not going to look into it too much. I really like the 4 poem detailed study + 2 quotes from remaining idea. LOVE the speeches in Mod B lol (except Deane and Pearson)

How many of Donne's poems should we thoroughly know?

They can ask for three poems like they did in our trial. I really don't want them to specify :( :(

How many of Donne's poems should we thoroughly know?

There are 9 (!!!) poems altogether, and I seriously hope they don't specify. One of our teachers said that Donne's poems can be treated as a single text, so does this mean that they won't specify specific poems (just like they can't specify Act 2 Scene 1 of As You Like It for AOS without...

    3 weeks till HSC

LOL same problem here! Eng and eco are by far my weakest, but I keep doing maths because the short term satisfaction gained from maths study is too tempting.

Is it necessary to include reaction temperatures for chemical equations?

What? Unless it is specified, I doubt you need to write the temperatures out for EVERY equation that's needed. I didn't lose any marks in the trials for not including temperatures where they weren't specified. You've got me worried though LOL.
