(wait is this op? lol) oh okay if you're year 8 that should be plenty of time, to both build your portfolio and also work towards doing well on the hast! and ig you just need to think about whether moving to fairvale will benefit you at all - which it sounds like it will, given the number of...

    Fairvale hs?????

What year are you in atm? Keep in mind that if you are transferring for the sake of competitions, the number of competitions you'll actually get to do at fairvale depends on how long you are there before applying for the selective school (which is around july of year 10). It also doesn't help...

UNSW or USYD for Medical Science?

not sure how useful my input will be but from what I've heard usyd is more academic and unsw has a better work-student life balance. personally would go for unsw given scholarship, accommodation & student life but that's my personal preference & u should definitely go for the uni you think...

    Should I apply to Ruse?

agreed, just go for it! was in a similar position as you last year and made it in, so you'll never know til you try. roundedness is also p important too, so if u got that u have a p good chance. re tutoring: don't bother with tutoring for junior years. in the grand scheme of things your junior...

Tell me about Australian High Schools!

Initially I also expected the syllabus to be pretty different but after checking the NESA website there were surprisingly more similarities than I thought. Yes some topics are taught earlier here especially in maths, but for bio and chem they were pretty close. As for English and creative arts...

Tell me about Australian High Schools!

I’ve lived in Singapore my whole life so I go to the local schools! My parents are Australian and I was born in Sydney, hence the citizenship. Yep you’re right all that is very very different so I’m anticipating a bit of culture shock, although curriculum-wise the syllabus is pretty similar for...
