We didn't have a morning tea, but phones were ringing around. All the teachers I spoke to were absolutely stoked - our little rural independent school had its best year ever, with at least 7 guys out of 23 getting UAI 90+, and nearly 20% band 6's. It's been a very happy few days. :D I_F

The OAS at USYD is valued at $10,000 a year for up to 5 years. The Merit Scholarships at USYD are $5,000 a year for up to 5 years, and Merit Entry Scholarships are $5,000 one-off. I_F

Band 6 in Standard English is almost a myth. Top mark was 92, and there were 8 Band 6 results this year in Standard (up from 5 last year) (link) I_F
