I tried doing this text for the Tempest but my teacher advised me against it because it's not very accredited. Try asking your teacher first for their opinion :)
If you really want to do French, don't let others dishearten you! Don't let the typical 'you're not (inserts nationality) why are you studying (inserts language)' dishearten you, because everyone else that does the beginners course isn't French either. I've been studying Japanese since year 8...

Just expand the factorisation and then differentiate as normal. So for a) the expansion is x^3 + x, and if you differentiate that you get 3x^2 + 1
But if the system wasn't as it is then schools could give super easy exams and everyone could get 100%. Since internal ranks are more important than marks, everyone is on a level field in terms of exam difficulty, as the mark comes from the HSC.
I used loose leaf for content heavy subjects like Economics and Chemistry, it worked fine for me :) But both would be fine, I guess it depends on what you start doing and stick with. To be honest, it doesn't really make much of a difference :p
I was thinking of doing the same thing but my teacher advised me to choose something longer with more substance... I think it would be a good idea to ask your teacher for their opinion :)
I think it's because going to a lower ranked school means that there is a larger range of marks, so you run the risk of getting quite lower marks if you aren't right at the top.
