    Physics Time Question

Thanks! I still don't really understand how to apply trig to this instance though - from my understanding, we have a triangle with side r, r + 1.7m and an unknown hypotenuse. I'm also not sure of the reasoning behind the t*2pi/26400 formula? I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding the question or...

    Physics Time Question

Hey, would greatly appreciate any advice on how to go about doing this question: I've thought about it for ages, and there simply doesn't seem to be enough information to apply the formulas I know (eg. trig) to solve this.

    Vector Projection Question

Where am I going wrong here? Question: Given vector u = (-4cos30, 4sin30) and vector v = (6cos45, -6sin45) find projuv (projection of v onto u) in exact form Working:

Maths Advanced Survey on STEM subjects: "Why don't more girls study Extension Maths and Physics?" (help a fellow introvert)

Actually read the post dude. I literally took out the relevant extracts for you. Which is why they were comparatively cheap before these reforms. You got sources for anything you're saying?

Maths Advanced Survey on STEM subjects: "Why don't more girls study Extension Maths and Physics?" (help a fellow introvert)

https://www.theaustralian.com.au/inquirer/an-education-inuniversity-funding-reform/news-story/7680d20e07389476dc37c17f32271fcb But, to achieve this in a time of budget constraint, the cost is not borne by the government. Instead, students pay more and universities are asked to stretch their...

Maths Advanced Survey on STEM subjects: "Why don't more girls study Extension Maths and Physics?" (help a fellow introvert)

Nevertheless, it's still a pretty shitty initiative considering that funding per student decreases in all degrees which means a lesser quality of education and student experience as a whole

    Should I drop?

My advice would be to drop both extensions which will free up a massive amount of time for you to ace your other subjects. Only 10 units will count towards your HSC, and so having 12 will still give you 2 units as a backup. No point spending that much time on extensions which may not even count...

    2020-HSC chat

Section 1 was awesome, it related super closely with my major work (Historiography of Twitter) and was a good question overall. Source B was really useful for me, I didn't really understand Source A so I just refuted it and said it was limited in it's representation of the role of the historian...

    Results vs Process

Which is more important, the journey or the destination? If you could immediately get everything you wanted with 0 effort, than that thing becomes meaningless because it becomes an end in itself. You assign value to things, and so the importance is arbitrary, you know what I mean? I think this...

    Results vs Process

I'm a bit confused too now. I'm interpreting it in the context of math, where someone puts in a lot of effort but doesn't get the results they want. I think that in this context, putting in effort is still worth it due to the intangible benefits of learning how to study, what works, what doesn't...

How accurate is the university rankings? which one is the most objective one?

It's not that rankings are "biased" so to speak, it's just that there is no objective way to rank education. Even between school and faculties, teaching quality and graduate outcomes vary significantly. Because each university teaches a different curriculum, has different research projects...

What happens if you get a 0 in paper 1 for Year 12 Hscs

Contact your school asap, but be prepared for the worst. You won't fail HSC unless you already have an N-Award but misreading the timeable is not an acceptable excuse for missing an exam, so you'll likely get 0 with no appeal.

    2020-HSC chat

hahaha that's so relatable. Especially all the context for Mod A, I only realised last week??? I'm essentially just trying to cram quotes now as well. No idea how it's going to go tomorrow for Mod C especially. At this point I'm just praying trials doesn't torpedo my ranks too much.
