Hey guys,
I’m trying to prepare for next year Y11 Advanced and Extension 1 english. For advanced, I’ve been given by my school that ‘Term 1 - Reading to Write’ has the main text being The Great Gatsby (and other texts). How do I prepare for this? Do I read The Great Gatsby and analyse all the...
hey guys,
I am moving to Sydney next year and I'm gonna go to tutoring in Matrix and some other places. I've heard that most people go to tutoring colleges with their friends from school and stuff, and I'm just wondering would it be like 'unusual' if I go tutoring by myself?? (sorry if this is a...
hey guys,
I was told by my teacher last year for English at school that it is totally fine to state the overarching technique (e.g. figurative language/structural language/extended metaphor) in the topic sentence of a paragraph (but not list them obviously). But my current teacher absolutely...
this may seem like a random and dumb question, but i'm just wondering; do people in these top schools do anything other than study? because i've heard from one of my friends that people in James Ruse/Baulko don't date anyone and boys and girls don't really interact together - this is very likely...
Hey guys,
Just out of curiosity, if I ace Extension 1 and Extension 2 in the HSC and I completely bomb Advanced, will Advanced not count towards my ATAR (considering I do 12 units)? Is this also a possible/recommended idea, and has anyone ever done this before?
thanks!
Hey guys,
I am looking for a chemistry tutoring centre, and I am not sure which one to pick. I've heard of Sigma and Cognito Tuition - can anyone give me feedback on these please, and of course other recommendations? i want the most experienced and worthwhile tutoring centre :)
Find the angle of inclination of this vector :
My answer was π/6 , but apparently, it is supposed to be 5π/6 . It'd be great if someone could explain why :)
I've attached the whole question, but I only need help with:
Why is the answer to part c) ≈1.06? I got ≈0.15
Why is the answer to part d) ≈11.79? I got ≈4.22
Any help with clarifying my errors will be greatly appreciated!
Hi! I've read a bunch of worked solutions for the attached question, but I just can't understand why you do 10x4x9=360 for the case of a single digit and triple digit.
Any help will be appreciated :)
(btw the answer is A)
Hey,
For the graphs and equations chapter of Y12 Adv, I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find past HSC questions on graphing rational functions?
Thanks!
I can't decide between purchasing the Fitzpatrick textbook or Terry Lee textbook for 3u maths (and next year when I pick up 4u maths). I want something that has very challenging questions, but not questions which are unrealistically hard or irrelevant to the HSC. Which one is the best textbook...
Five boys and five girls are to sit around a table. Find in how many ways this can be done if four couples sit together, but Walter and Maude do not.
The answer is 1152.
I tried searching up any explanations but I can't seem to understand any of them :confused2:
I attached...
I've been told by my teacher that it is:
5!*5!=14400
but I'm not sure how this is the case? Since it is a circle, shouldn't it be (n-1)!=(5-1)!*5! ?
Thank you in advance!! 😄
