    laptop for uni?

For commerce subjects, i didnt need a laptop at all for notes and stuff. Your lecture notes would have most of the important points so you'd just have to scribble in some extra things if required. But if u get bored easily, you might want to bring one to entertain yourself =P

Just Accepted my offer. What now?

Hi rayy_bann, For the commerce part of your degree, there's 5 100 level required subjects that you have to do and 2 100 level required subjects for law. These are ACST101, BBA102, ECON11, MKTG101, either ACCG100 OR ACCG106, LAW115, LAW109. So you need to do all these in first year. Usually...

Any questions about the Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws welcomed here.

Hi aliciakendall95, No you will not miss out on any law subjects if you do a double degree. You will do all the subjects required to get registered as a lawyer in NSW. It kind of works like this, a pure law degree (not combined with another degree) is only 3 years while a double degree with law...

Any questions about the Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws welcomed here.

Hi Sanndiiee, It doesnt matter which units you do for session 1 and 2 as they don't really overlap much. Although for Accounting 1A and 1B, you have to do 1A before you can do 1B. So i would do 1A in session 1 and 1B in session 2. Don't worry about assumed knowledge for business, they teach you...

Just Accepted my offer. What now?

After you've accepted your offer on the macquarie website, i think you have to fill in some e-forms and stuff. You should receive an email/other form of notification with the date that you need to go into uni to enrol and pick your subjects. You also get your timetable on that day. It should be...

Any questions about the Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws welcomed here.

There are the options of commerce/law or applied finance/law as the combined degrees, both of which you can complete in 5 years. You could start off with commerce/law and then internal transfer later on to applied finance/law if you wish, or vice versa. I've done that myself. Both commerce and...

Any questions about the Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws welcomed here.

Hi, The answer to your question is YES. Taking last year's example, the cut off for comm/law in the main round was 95.9 but it increased to 95.95 in the second round. However, for applied finance/law, it was 97.55 in main round but 96.75 for the second round. So it works both ways. I suggest...

ACCG252/AFIN252 Applied Financial Analysis & Management

Deciding whether to do this subject in first or second semester as the lecturers will be different (as shown on the timetable). First semester lecturer is Yunping Chen, second semester is Lindsay Stubbs/Lurion de Mello. Any comments from past students? How do each of the lecturers teach? And who...

    Calling all problem solvers

Maybe you're in the wrong degree? Or if you have heaps of other committments, try studying part time or taking a gap year?

Anyone come across this problem before?

Usyd is horrible. I've heard situations from friends at usyd who've appealed because of unfair failure in subjects but never got the decision overturned. The message they send out is what they say is final and will not do anything afterwards even if you're right. Tell your mate to change unis...

    Radiography OR Physiotherapy

I don't know about radiography but i would recommend AGAINST usyd physio. They used to say on those information booklets you get from info day that a physio degree guarantees employment after you graduate (dont know if they still advertise that) but it is a lie. It is not guranteed. In 4th year...
