    Choice b/w IMMU and PCOL

There's some pretty basic chem in first semester - properties of molecules and such. It's more physiology-based than you might expect. Mostly learning about molecule-receptor interactions at a fairly cursory level. I really enjoyed it and found it tied in well with many other subjects I've studied.

    Distinction Average

And that's because the science department puts pressure on the university board to put pressure on the arts (or whatever other) department to limit the high marks allocated in those subjects that are perceived in some academic circles as easy. Because this would, in a roundabout manner, devalue...

    Choice b/w IMMU and PCOL

I've done Pcol - if you want to do the 2nd semester one you'll find it easier if you do foundations or whatever they call it now in 1st semester. I know people who've coped just in 2nd sem, but you'll need to do a bit of back reading. Friend of mine did immunology and loved it. I dunno. T cells...

    Toughest man in league?

I agree with davo, tooves is the toughtest player I've seen in my lifetime. This may surprise (and aggravate) some people, but Minichiello has a toughness about him in the consistency with which he takes the field (as in he hasn't missed many games) and the fact that he's always in it even as a...

How come the roosters are allowed to cheat?

On the point of dive-taking, sure it happens, but I think people expect footballers to be a whole lot tougher than they actually are. They all look like they're built like brick shithouses, but if you crack them in an awkward place they're still going to go down, even if it doesn't look like...

    Scholarships

All scholarship info can be found at http://www.usyd.edu.au/fstudent/undergrad/study/shm/scholarships.shtml It's just the generic site that gives you all the basic info. If you want to visit them to find stuff out they're in the mackie building across the footbridge over parramatta road.

    Semester 1 results (2005)

I wouldn't think so, that would mean they'd need to employ data enterers on weekend rates and that would just be too complicated.

guy commits suicide off manning building

Yeah, in the paper (I thought it may have been the tele) the police were quoted as saying it wasn't being treated as suspicious. So sad, such a waste.

    Longest Relationships

No way, you're saving yourself a lot of pain by not getting too attached. Too much longer than that and you start to think you need the person.

    Longest Relationships

When you realise the person is only interesting and fun because you are, it's time to let them go. It's a pity when it takes you three years to realise that though. So much wasted time, so much unnecessary habit-breaking pain.

    Facial Hair

5 o'clock shadow = good, stubble rash = bad, manicured gt = sexy, bare-patches and bum-fluff = too young for you, full beard = cross the road and don't make eye contact.

    NNSW/GC floods

No, sydneysiders just need to learn to manage water more than anyone else (to state the bleeding obvious). Perhaps turning on the tap and getting only air would make that point a little more salient for some city dwellers. That said, the whole country needed (needs) rain.

    US Ruling threatens file-trading-software makers

It's very rarely the artists who have a whinge about music sharing, they get such a nominal cut of the profits from CD sales. It's recording companies who are the big potential financial losers, however I agree that it's highly unlikely that a significant proportion of downloaded music would...

    Labor's Future

Leetom, Latham was always going to be a gamble for the party, he is volatile and emotional, and after he invested so much in it of course he's going to bitter when he leaves. I agree it would be better for the party for him to go quietly, but I understand why he hasn't. As for current Labor...
