    Bachelor Of Business

I really don't know why they have two different codes for PT and FT business. I was originally FT then when I started working I just enrolled to two subject per semester and was effectively in PT mode. No special forms, very simple.

    BBusiness (First Year Subjects) Overview

The simple answer is YES. From the sound of things if you find the content interesting it is a good indication that you will do reasonably well. Accounting and Finance are very much complementary subjects and hence its popularity. International business is not a job scoring major so pairing it...

    Bachelor Of Business

I think its a great course especially if you are looking at working part time down the track because the flexibility of the timetables is a real strength. The work is not as full on as USYD or UNSW and the campus is lacking in the social/club arena but if you want to work while you study or if...

    Big 4 Accounting Firm

I'm not from Big 4 but I know a number of people from there... 1) Grad salaries range from 45-55K pa depending on the division 2) You have the opportunity to do secondment at another office overseas eg. London if approved 3) Though I am somewhat stereotyping this is what I've noticed...

    Superannuation funds

Most young people don't even give a thought about super. There is a huge range out there so just like an investment, do some reasearch such as internet, financial publications and order some PDS's from companies that seem good to you.

    list tax deductions

My colleague was ex-ATO and they can audit anyone so don't assume they will only go for people with large incomes. They have profiles of the average deductions/income/salaries for each industry on their database so any tax return with abnormal deductions etc will be raised as an item of concern.

    Accounting Major

I think doing accounting as a sub-major is a waste because you will hit a brick wall if you want to move up to being chartered. That is of course if you are comtemplating a career in accounting. The full major is approved by both CA/CPA so it is the ideal major to take for versatility.

    Graduate Salaries

Differences depend somewhat on the organisation especially if they are large and highly profitable. Mac Bank for eg. value exceptional IT framework in their company as it is required for their operations. They pay very well but the gruelling hours you work for them means that on a hourly basis...

Anyone here find that the Business Faculty admin are run by a bunch of prickhead clowns? Inconsistency in their policies, bad service and advice, and they make the simple task of enrolment a nightmare!

    Calling all university students!

Yes I agree its a great idea but hard to implement effectively. You should divide it according to which Uni, the faculty and then the subject code within that.

    Credit cards

I'm with Commonwealth since I got a savings account with them and I want the versatility linking them via NetBank and do money transfers with ease. It's just the regular blue one. 16-17%pa. with 55 days interest free and a annual fee of around $50 I think. If you don't really need one...

Brands you hate, and why :)

For the other 98% of other people out there, most people like the fact they can get a good look (no matter how mass produced it is) with convienience and not having to dig around in an op shop with their friends. Excluding the 'mainstream brands' do guys have much choice compared to women's...
