Hi there, I just wanted to ask what the dangers would be if one was to use two films as a related text. Does the marking centre devalue your essay or do they deduct marks. If there's someone out there that's used two films as a related texts could you please reply :)

You can use two films and you can get full marks. The issue is that having two texts of the same type limits the amount of breadth you can cover in your analysis; which is important considering you need to focus on depth as much as possible because of the short length. So it's possible, just probably harder.

Oh alright, well thanks for that. Hopefully it should be fine. I'm using two Brazilian films "City of God" and "Elite Squad 2" for my crime writing module.
