Hi guys,

I was taught pH, LCP and all that stuff during online lessons, so I'm really stuck with my homework right now. I would really appreciate it if anyone could explain these questions to me. I'm really sorry that there's quite a few :(

H2PO4^- (aq) + H2O (l) ⇌ HPO4^2- (aq) + H3O^+ (aq)
1. If 0.5 mole H2PO4^- and 0.5 mole HPO4^2- are in equilibrium in 1L of aqueous solution, calculate the pH of the solution (Ka for H2PO4^- = 6.4 x 10^-8).
2. 0.010 mole HCl is now added to the 1L of solution in part (1). Assuming that all added H^+ ions are used up in the equilibrium shift, calculate the concentrations of H2PO4^- and HPO4^2-. Hence calculate the pH of this solution.
3. 0.01 mole HCl has been added to water and then made up to 1L of solution. Calculate the pH of this solution.

The Ka value of ethnic acid is 1.75 x 10^-5
4. Calculate the pH of a 0.10 mol L^-1 solution of CH3COOH (aq)

Generally speaking, I'm given the value of Ka and sometimes the volume and molarity of the solution in the remaining questions of my homework. How do I calculate pH from the given information?

Thanks everyone!!
