With this course (B Communication) do you choose what area you do, for example JOURNALISM, or do you have to do them all?

Yeah you get to choose. All first years do the same subjects though, and there is compulsory core subjects for 2nd and 3rd years that you must do regardless of what you major in.

So i could do journalism for years 2,3,4... what are the core units?

If I do this degree at UWS, can I draw electives from other faculties? In particular, I'd like to know whether I can take electives from the History, Philosophy and Politics, or English?

Yeah, you can. I'm doing a B Arts at the moment, and took some of the Communication units (Writing as Communication and Introduction to Journalism) as my electives.
Means going between the Kingswood (or Bankstown) and Werrington South campuses, though.

Do we receive enough electives to be able to do a major in an arts area :S?
