Yea that q is pretty much it..bail before preliminary hearing to determine prima facir. or is it after?

I though bail is held the day after the arrest, a few days at most.

i'm sure it is before:

determining prima facie case would be in the Local crt.. but i think bail is before this.

think about it. why would they want to determine bail before they have decided if the case will go to trial or not. That would mean you could be denied bail even if your case doesn't go to court.

ah found out..bail could be granted by police, the magistrate in committal hearing or by judge during the trial if there are adjournments..thanks neway
