What options r available and how do they compare to matrix/dux.?

Go private. Check out Highschool tutors . Com and see what’s affordable/available. I think project academy tho is g bc it’s semi private bc u hv unlimited marking but with a class that goes over the text. It’s mad expensive tho

i'll list the ones i know of that specialise/only do eng:
- Delta (~2k/term, 9.25k yrly in y11, 6.9k yrly y12) text specific, 2h lessons + indiv lessons, all tutors state rank, EPPING
- Concept (1.4k/term, text specific, group and/or indiv lessons, forgot length of them lol, drive of resources) all tutors state rank/really high eng mark, ONLINE (pretty sure)
- JP eng (770 /term iirc? 2h lessons iirc, text specific)
all tutors state rank/95+?, CARLINGFORD
- Mcduff (????? when i look at the website & what
they say it gives off WEIRD vibes), acc teachers iirc, HURSTVILLE (i think)

eng tutoring is expensive as hell in most cases - iirc jp is the cheapest. i've heard ab mcduff but i don't know too much.

Delta, JP and Concept all have essay marking (pretty sure Delta's is the best, although it's the most $$)

in terms of results, delta doesn't seem to publish theirs that much but i've only ever known people from there to b6 eng. concept/jp has theirs on their website and mcduff has some on their facebook.

there's also project as the above post mentioned but idk too much ab them - seems decent tho (pretty sure there arent tutorials for eng, may be wrong)

i just know matrix eng is shit because that's literally all i ever hear about it and i'd assume it's the same with dux but idk.

I mainly need an english marker who can constantly give me feedback on my work and assessment marking and advice and stuff like that... I think my school teachers do a pretty good job of covering the content.

You're definately not gonna find much feedback w english classes. they too packed.

Private tutors tailor their teaching to what you need and want, whether that be to help u with assessments or covering content.

For example, during exam time, my tutor helps prepare me for it through giving tips and feedback. During non-exam time, since my creative writing is atrocious, she helps me with that. Like what Pethmin said, you are unlikely to receive much feedback w english classes due to how packed it is. A

In my opinion, having experienced both private and classes, I feel like private overall was more beneficial and worth the buck.
