Any good physics teacher from Zhang's???
U cna just enrol in a class and do makeup lessons to experience the other teachers teaching method and once you find the one you like u can ask admin to permanently switch to that class (if the class isn’t full)

To clarify - we engaged a 4th year maths honours student at Cambridge Uni who had been a member of the British Maths Olympiad team to help our son prepare for the AMO. Our son is the only student in the 40 year history of his public local school to ever be invited to the maths olympiad program, so there was no one local who could give him any advice, particularly after the AMT Selection School, to which he had been invited, was cancelled due to COVID. This tutor charged in British sterling pounds and the conversion rate to Aus dollars worked out to be $AU285 per lesson, which were 1 - 1.5 hrs, once a week. We thought it was well worth our money but he ended up getting a full time salaried job, so unfortunately, the arrangement only lasted a year. We’ve never used any other tutor or tutoring service.
What exactly did the tutor teach your son? I know a few students at James Ruse who are into math olympiad and one of them even represented Australia in IMO a few years ago. They told me that none of the JR teachers can help them with math olympiad. They all go/went to tutoring for math olympiad from year 5 or 7. Their tutor is Dr Michael Sun in Carlingford and you can google his name. I've told that he's the only qualified math olympiad tutor in Sydney.

Problem solving techniques, using IMO questions as exercises.

My son had been invited to AIMO x4, senior AMOC x3 and AMO x3 since Yr 7, but he didn’t have any tutors and worked through the AMT enrichment program and AMO past questions himself, which was good up to a point, but we suspected the top students were receiving tutoring, so we thought to give him any real shot at doing well, we should get one too. Since that was already at the beginning of Yr 11, we figured any local tutors in Australia would already have their established students (which you’ve confirmed), so we deliberately looked outside Australia to find someone who would just focus on his progress, without comparing him to other candidates in Australia.

Olympiad success was also only one of the reasons we engaged a tutor - because we live in a semi rural area, almost no one at our school is academically inclined, so we were looking for a mentor who could be a like-minded role model, rather than a teacher figure. Engaging a Uni student who was passionate about maths, programming & music (both my son and his tutor have Youtube channels with their performances of their own music arrangements) was the right fit for my son, who is now at ANU studying advanced maths, advanced programming and advanced physics as part of his R & D (Hons) Engineering degree, so it was just as much about life beyond high school than the maths Olympiad which is a pinnacle of high school maths (incidentally, a four time member of the Maths Olympiad team is a second year student at the same Uni and is his tutor for programming workshop, so my son now has many like minded mentors and peers).

The key word here is to swap or pay for resources not get it for free. Who would want to swap resources with year 6?

Most people in math olympiad are for a wrong reason. They don't genuinely love math. They just want to win a medal in IMO/AMO.
If you don't believe me then try to look up some IMO medalists on linkedin and you will know. Btw, your atar goal a bit too low to know
olympiad kids :)
... bruh tf u on? people who do olympiad want to be recognised for their talents, not to win a meaningless medal. And how does atar goals suddenly become thresholds to who you can and cannot interact w/? I feel you're just coping from the unfortunate circumstances that you/ or your child was unable to achieve a medal. By all means, you can cry about it as much as you want, but just bc u/ur child was unable to achieve something doesn't mean everyone else who participated in the exam are instantly 'not genuinely into math' or 'just doing it for a medal'. just keep that in mind mate. just an FYI here, you're arguing with 17 yr olds in an education based forum, which is pretty sad given you supposedly possess a child currently.
