Oh the hilarity of the situation. The Minister For Transport must be shitting in his pants.

I hope this, along with the cross city tunnel, brings Debnam into office.

The traffic doesn't effect me at all.

I thought it was funny that they spent half the day pouring concrete in the hole when clearly it isn't going to help. There is obviously nothing they can do so they were just trying to look busy.

Insane, would've been more so if that giant hole just opened up in the middle of the road :p Stopped traffic dead for over 2hrs though.

It's a shocking display of corporate malfeasance that such a thing can occur; that said did anyone see, on ABC news I belive it was, how happy the developer/owner of the flats where? He could see the gold pilling up.

exactly. The value of their property just shot up; a nice spanking new reconstructed flat vs an old run down decades old building

No, the news article said they have been repatriated in North Ryde.
... in the Somerset Thingy Hotel on Delhi Road, directly above where they're building Epping-Chatswood Rail-Link tunnel, I think.... Let's hope that one doesn't collapse

No way people are stilll living in there, its entire foundation just got fucked up.

Have they given a reason to why it occured? It's not necessarily the fault of the tunnel building company.

No :D. They just showed the hotel they were staying at on a news story on TV (!) so I figured out where they were. But I do live in North Ryde/Macquarie Park. I don't go around stalking people whose homes had just been ruined, I swear!
