Can a Learner still drive the car if their supervisor isnt directly beside them (1 Viewer)

Is it allowed for a learner driver to still drive the car if their supervisor inst directly beside them but instead in the back seat.

Just a small sample I Googled. Funnily enough NSW was the hardest to find as all the usual websites don't have it mentioned explicitly until you check the road rules which specify the role of the supervisor.
