Can I take a break once I start Uni? (1 Viewer)

So I'm looking at Sydney Uni next year and I've decided not to take a gap year because I want to get my degree over and done with and then go travelling. But I was wondering, if I start my degree, and after the first year I change my mind about the gap year, am I able to take a year off then? Do I just not enrol in any UoS for that year or can I apply for a late deferment or something?

Yes you can.

You apply for a leave of absence. They are almost always approved.

If you don't enrol in any uos your place at the uni will lapse and you'll have to reapply through UAC.
