Genuinely I think it could be lower then that. I know I'm defo gonna drop marks because of phrasing. What shocks me is question 29. apprently 0 change happens

I did half eq pt at first but then realised the log scale is gonna fk it up there’s no way you’re gonna get exact answer by eyeballing it
So I calculated but used eq pt and got like 7E-5 but apparently I was supposed to use the initial pH and actual answer was like 4E-5 or something.
I did sanity check by finding pH at half eq pt though and got pH at half eq pt 4.15 which looks very close so idk, maybe made errors but I swear I triple checked that sht so prolly just wrong approach.

Yes I agree it’s possible, I initially did eyeball pH 4.2 at half eq at first then sanity check with eq pt calc and it got far off enough to be concerned (well maybe it wasn’t far off bc value is very small but the first digit didn’t line up). And considering that other method gives pH 4.15 at half eq makes it difficult to distinguish. Dk how they’re gonna mark cause lots of ppl did use half eq pt so error margin might be wider or they might have expected some knowledge that it’s inaccurate to eyeball, not sure but apparently I got it wrong anyway.

Is the answer confirmed ~4E-5?

Hell nah the previous ones easier imo - but its so subjective cos it depends on what ur good at. If ur better at calcs i reckon youd be better with exams like 21-24, but if ur better w explanations then this test is probably easier. Lowkey tripped me up though cos i wasnt expecting an exam with so many explanations

Same bro everyone saying 2021 was hard.. it was most straightforward imo
It’s not that this paper was hard it’s just very unlike previous papers, much more explanation/drawing, and calcs were not your usual questions. Also it’s just the trick questions and a ton of them. I guess it jsut caught me off guard so I’m over stressing (hopefully)

idk I was gonna say it didn't affect the equilibrium but then i saw it was a 4 marks and I was tripped out

No bc there’s the same number of moles for the two species, and the same volume, so the concentrations of both will be the same, so no change.
Temperature doesn’t change because the ideal gas law tells us that PV = nRT and since n increases P increases without needing T to increase. So if nothing related to Keq changes then there is no change in the system.

I think for the argon gas question they will award marks to both cases.
Its cruel to be misleading us with the temperature and making it 4 marks.
At least make the question: Will equillibrium shift when argon gas is added? 2 marks -this will make students actually think

im so confused with that? I was immediately like yeah it doesnt affect it, but what do i write for 4 marks
