hi..
just curious...
does the term "cyclic accelerator" refer only to cyclotrons or any accelerators where the particles go in circular-like paths, eg synchrotrons?
[mm i said circular-like coz the path in cyclotron isnt really circular.. its spiral :p]

syncrotrons are cyclic accelerators. they accelerate particles in circular motion. cyclotrons are also cyclic accelerators. simple answer :]

yeah, apparently i came across that kind of info (on what can be called cyclic accelerators) when i was doing some research on the net :D
