Well I am a diabetic and, after a little persuasion by my year coordinator, i took the oppurtunity to have special provisions for my school certificate.
As others who have read my other thread may already know, I had my trials this week. I was put into a small room in the admin block by myself (which was nice i suppose). My first trial was maths and I think I did okay in that. Second was History, Geography, Civics + Citizenship. My special provisions allowed me to have an extra 20 mins and i SOOOO needed those extra minutes in that exam.
English and Science were okay, but I did end up needing the extra time in English but in science, I went low within the first half hour of the trial *eek* So I had some jellybeans and something to eat and was given extra time to complete the exam to make up for the time I'd lost fixing myself up.
I didn't even think I would need it but now I am so glad for it.
Have any of you taken special provisions for your diabetes? What did you think of it? Did it help you?
