If someone uses verbal threat to make someone enter a contract is that physical duress?

Well, if it was so significantly threatning, then I don't see why not.
Duress is just the procuring of a contractual assent by an illegitimate pressure. Initially, duress could only be established where a promise was procurred by actual or threatned violence, but has seen been expanded to goods and economic duress as well.

eh no..?

Physical and verbal are two very different things. What they do have in common is that both are actionable.

Am I reading your question correctly?

Duress is duress - to classify it as "physical" sounds weird because the verbal threat may be to do something physical
