We just started Electricity at home and our teacher gave us a very complicated circuit question that involved factorization, quadratic formula and simultaneous equations. It was really hard and time consuming. Most people didn't get it.

I was wondering if we could be asked questions like that in the HSC; since none of the questions in my book are so complicated. When I asked my teacher she didn't really give me an answer.

Has anyone done an electrical circuit question that involves Simultaneous equations and quadratic formula and is it even in the Prelim Syllabus?

Thanks.

Definitely not, if General Maths students wouldn't be able to do it, you won't need it.

So the mathematics side of physics can be only as complicated as General Maths level Math?

Also I do 2u but it wasn't the maths; it was just the question and how she applied the formulas to it which really confused me.

I am not sure how do I make a circuit on the computer?? Okay I'll see.

HSC Physics generally only involves the substitution into a formula - something a General Maths student should be able to do.

Okay so I tried to make the circuit in Paint. Sorry for the bad drawing.
So we had to find the total current in the circuit.
