I have yet to read one of his works - but I am getting Fear and Loathing for Christmas so I will see. I have heard so many great things. I just hope he lives up to the hype.
I'm sure you'll like it once you get used to the style.

I really enjoy Robert Jordans books, they're a mission, but worth it.

Enid Blyton

Adeline Yen

Jk Rowling
Aw i was waiting to see Enid Blyton! *remembers Noddy*

Dean Koontz is my favourite hands down. If i were to recommend a book it would be 'From the Corner of His Eye', the first one i ever read. He combines the slight supernatural with the constant of good v. evil. That doesn't do him justice. Anyone read anything of his?

Im also appreciating Robert Jordan, only 4 books in to wot.. its goign to be a long journey!

James Patterson's 'Cross' novels

Robin Hobb's Assassin and Fool trilogies I can credit with beginning my enjoyment of fantasy
