First Year Maths Question (1 Viewer)

So, I'm currently studying Advanced Science at another uni, and I've applied to do a mid year transfer to USYD.

I intend to do MATH1003/1903 and MATH1005/1905 next semester, while doing MATH1001 and MATH1002 at Summer School. While I can't see anywhere that MATH1001/1901 and MATH1002/1902 are prerequisites for the second semester units, I'm concerned that not having that knowledge will make it difficult for me (this is more for MATH1003/1903, with statistics it looks like everyone starts from scratch).

From what I've observed, my previous uni teaches us pretty much half the content of MATH1001/1901, 1002/1902 and 1003/1903 in one semester, and the rest in the other semester. So while I probably have a head start on the first few weeks of Integral Calculus, I don't know whether I've missed out on anything important in Differential Calculus and Linear Algebra that will come back to haunt me later.

Would I be at a disadvantage if I did MATH1003/1903 before the first semester units? Or would I be better off waiting until next year to start maths again?

You won't really be at a disadvantage. You may need a couple of things such as the Mean Value Theorem, the concept of limits, Taylor Series, but I can't imagine much else apart from that for MATH1003/1903.

Suppose there is something that you do need, it wouldn't be anything a quick look on YouTube can't fix up =p

Ah OK. Well I've learnt MVT and limits, I'll just read up on the Taylor series then.
