-Excrete large volumes of dilute urine to rid excess water, caused by active reabsorption of salts by the body.
-Gills will actively absorb any salts. Active absorption and reabsorption reduces loss in salts from urine.

The last mark would come in through the fact that you are actually 'explaining' it, not throwing facts at the marker.

ie: Simply stating what they do (2 things that they do) would get you two marks. A little bit of synthesis and explanation will give you the third.
