Can people give me a ranking (1-10) of the food at the halls people are staying at?

Like, is it edible or is it gross.

And do you get used to it?

And is it less expensive than buying your own.

Thankyou :)

Australians can't tell the difference between competing brands of bland slop.

I've only eaten at Bruce Hall, so here's what it's like there.

In my opinion the food is certainly edible (unless you're a vegetarian, then the food look and taste like shit). Not exactly great that you'll really look forward to it, but you'll get used to it pretty quickly. I would, however, go short of delicious.

That was in January 2004. I'm actually going to ANU tomorrow so I can give you a more recent review on the food when I get back.

johns food:

- the chocolate mousse and chocolate muffins are great
- friday night is fish and chips night
- food in general is not bad with veggie options
- you can always make your own little pizza things or toasted sandwiches

but i'd have to agree with imsooverskool - maccas really appeals after a while.

the food is edible, but after a while it starts to taste the same and you get quite sick of it and really crave something different.

most of the people i know in johns have a stash of food and snacks and funnily enough i spend lots of money on food even though i live in a catered college.

when the food they cook gets interesting, i remember that my parents are paying for it and eat it!

Not like Bruce food is any less fatty than McDonalds. I had something fried everyday for the entire two weeks I spent there.

In response to original post, I would say Bruce Hall food is both edible and gross.
I'd rather do my own cooking.
