For anyone who did forensic chemistry as their option - the qs with the structural diagram of fructose given is wrong as it is missing an O atom to the H atom will this affect how they mark the question?

It doesn't really matter for me as I know i got the qs 100% right as I drew the glysosidic bond and even had a structural diagram for water as the reaction is a condensation reaction

Yeah, I just realised that it was incorrect. What I did was react the HOCH2 and the OH group together to (really two -OH groups)...

I'm not sure how they're gonna mark it - you didn't complete the structural equation if you wrote the right sucrose formula (two -OH groups must react) but if you made two -OH groups react, it's also incorrect formula...

The thing is, honestly, it's unfair to give marks to only people that made the correct sucrose formula but it's also unfair to those that made -OH groups react because that's the only way the equation would work.
