Most high school students won't have JSTOR access, unless they know a university student. However, your right in suggesting Google Scholar. That'd be the way to go.
OP: Most academic information you read on Hamlet won't be an 'essay' per se. It'll will usually be an article on a very particular interpretation, or specific point of Hamlet. Finding a broad encompassing essay like the HSC requires is difficult.
