I'm struggling to find any link between Robert Gray's poetry and the concept of discovery. Does anyone have any ideas?
After having a brief look at the poems...At the moment, I'm looking at Journey: the North Coast. In the poem, it just seems that the persona just has an awe/wonder for nature and the country, but I can't see a real/non-superficial connection to discovery in this imagist style. The other poems, such as North Coast Town and The Meatworks, just talk about the decline or dehumanising nature of a place, but I also can't find the link to discovery. Could you help me?
