Yes, the HAST is still running in 2022 and will take place on Saturday 6 August. The best way to determine the school(s) where an in-person test is not required (if applicable) is by contacting the school(s) of interest. A full list of selective high schools can be accessed using the following link:

It is important to note that schools such as Baulkham Hills High School and Merewether High School will have no entrance test. If the student is not strictly looking to sit the HAST, then schools such as BHHS and MHS should be considered as options.

Additionally, keep in mind that enrolment in a selective high school is restricted to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of NSW. This means that international students are not eligible to enrol in a selective high school. However, if the student wishing to enrol in a selective high school is fully aware of this and meets this requirement, you can safely disregard this.

I hope this helps! 😄
