Basically ok I kinda get the concept Herts knew the frequency of the radia waves by the frequency of sparks... but still confused?

and ok he used superposition to determine the wave length, i dont get how he did that? can someone just help me to understand it

he reflected the waves off a metal sheet, the interference created in these standing waves allowed him to measure the wavelength... he just count the distance between the nodal\anti nodal lines for this wavelength.
does dat answer ur q?
