Hi
I used this equation V= a x Square root of 2d/a to find final velocity, is this accurate?

The other equation v=u +at uses time to consider the velocity but the first equation takes into consideration distance and not time?

So is it ok to use the first formula?

Never heard of that equation. Are you sure you don't mean v2=u2 + 2as ?

Oh I am using v= u+t in a different way. Look the square root of 2d/a is the time. Then I times it by a so its v=at.

You know...I really have no idea what sorta formulas you're talking about. Are they even part of the syllabus?

lol why do you have a inside and outside the square root?

if you square your formula you get
v2 = 2ad
which is the same as v2=u2 + 2as
when the intial velocity is 0
