you need a wireless router and a wireless pc card for each of the pcs......

probably cost you around $250 for the lot

Or if you don't plane to have another computer added any time soon, you can buy yourself a crossover cable (price varying depending on length), or ask someone to make one for you (even cheaper), and use Window's builtin Internet Connection Sharing service.

Broadband is the same thing.

You simply have a two NICs in your cable computer, one to the cable modem, the other to the second computer.

Its not just a matter of clicking a button and "now wat" and everything starts working.

1. Make sure you have the cable modem working one computer.
2. Network the two computers together using the crossover cable as you did before.
3. Enable Internet Connection Sharing, just as you did before.

use the wizard first, if that fails post again, seriously it steps you through every process.

click the "Set up a home or small office network"

also give your connections meaningful name, ie. rename your "local connection 3" to "internet" or "LAN" depending on what it is.

Just so we're clear.

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network Setup Wizard

I don't wish to clutter this topic any further, but I felt compelled to offer two cents with the wireless issue ;P

Need? Simple crossover cable will do the trick. The simplest solutions are always the best, and the most appropriate if someone is having trouble setting something up. And it saves them money =)

My adsl modem router can be connected through network. Therefore, just buy one of these and connect them together with a hub.
