The 8 core topics are the ones you need for the exam. You should be able to find this in the syllabus outline thing.

I did it last year... So long as you can write an essay and keep making things up you'll be fine.
Just keep writing for the entire 2 hours in the essays.

Although they rarely give band 6's so you just have to ensure your bs is better than everyone elses.

As for notes... I just found some online like 2 days before...

What mark would you need for a band 6 and can you link the notes if posssible? How did you go when you did the exam?

You can find the 9 topics you need to cover on the Board of Studies website. Go to the syllabus page, then IT, then Part B. You can download a PDF of all your units or a PDF or DOC of an individual unit.

Inside the syllabus for all the units or a single unit you will find a column on the far right named "HSC requirements and advice ". This is what you need to study for in the HSC & your trials.

You are much better off making your own notes than using someone else's. More importantly make sure you practice with past papers so you know what to expect in an HSC exam.
