Yes, you can get a mark of less than 50 in the HSC, corresponding to the Band 1 performance band.

No, they don't scale them above 50? :confused:

serious?

i was under the impression you could only get over 50.

band 6 90-100
5 80-89
4 70-79
3 60-69
2 50-59
1 oh wow, under 50

ok well i was also told that you could not get under 50, and that everyone passed the new hsc as doing it means you can actually do something, therefore you pass.

You have to try pretty hard to get less than 50.
