It seems there are contrasting ideas within Yeats's poetry. What is meant by contrast in this question is that there might be conflicting/differing themes/ideas/issues raised within Yeats's poetry that allow him to explore possible personal and political concerns. You may be able to highlight contrast within Yeats's poetry using one, a combination of, or all of the following techniques, which imply contrast:
  1. Juxtaposition: Placing two things side-by-side to reveal a contrast.
  2. Oxymoron: Two contradictory words are written or said side-by-side.
  3. Paradox: A statement that contradicts itself.
  4. Antithesis: Two oppositional ideas or concepts that are put together.
This also happens to be Question 7 (c) from the 2016 HSC English Advanced Paper. I also have a sample essay answering this question, which I will upload to the Notes & Resources section and also include a link to it here. Hopefully, you will find it helpful in terms of determining and expanding on your main points:

I hope this helps! :D
