False. Third highest INTERNAL mark in subject. Which is then averaged with your external mark to get your final HSC mark. This confused me. I hear conflicting things about this
Some say third rank = third highest mark in subject
Even if you say beat 1st in the actual HSC
True or false ?
Thanks
Fuckk that sorta sucksI think it's best to give an example.
For the actual exam on the day, you received 95 (HSC Exam mark). However, after aligning and moderation the third highest mark in your cohort is only 91 (HSC Assessment mark). Since you are third, you will get the 91.
These marks will be averaged out and you will receive a HSC mark of 93, where this mark will contribute towards your atar.
Fine, another example, on the day your mark was 95, however, after the moderation, the third highest mark in your cohort is 99. Since you are third you will get the 99. Hence, they will average the two marks and you will receive a HSC mark of 97. Happy now??Fuckk that sorta sucks
Omgg yess!!! That sounds so goodFine, another example, on the day your mark was 95, however, after the moderation, the third highest mark in your cohort is 99. Since you are third you will get the 99. Hence, they will average the two marks and you will receive a HSC mark of 97. Happy now??
