<-has a 40 gig and only uses over 10 gig.

I use the other 30 gig for storing/transfering digital phots at places so i can re-use the card ie can take evn more pictures at stuff!!

Just wish I had waited to get one of the new photo ipods which are actually designed for this purpose......

BTW. Dont forget you get a discount as a student (10% minimum)

I reckon. I got mine ages ago (xmas '02) and it's so good that you can store all your songs and listen to them whenever you want. I have a 10GB, I'm barely using anything and have 900 songs... I say if you have the money and will use it, go for it.

help me here

i was looking for an mp3 player, mainly the little solid state ones, around 512mb, so i could run with 'em and stuff

BUT my aunt works for apple and she can get iPods for about $220 off the rrp

so what do I do? I am tempted to get a little shitty solid state player (128mb no name korean one) and an ipod??

This topic might do better in the IT forum ..

PremusDog: Go for the 20gb model. Always better to have the extra space if you need it, as opposed to having too little space and needing more. Tertiary Education Students can also get 10% off Ipods and their respective accessories.

Sure does, you can apply the EQ in Itunes to see how it will make your music sound, too.

id buy a PDA. sure u cant store as much music on it as an ipod but you'll get alot more use out of it (calendar, msn, internet explorer etc). Purchase a 1gig SD card to go with it and you should be fine :)
