Guys and Gurls...just had few questions regarding IT support, helpdesk support as a career.
1)What does this job mainly involve?
2)Whats the demand like..for these sort of jobs in Australia?, and finally
3)whats the pay structure like?

Please advice me on this..any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

1. Job can involve a variety of things. you've got your different levels of support, and what is in your scope of work.
A lot of companies are merging away from just IT and bringing in Communications - ICT. So you're dealing with computers (hardware/software, desktop/laptop/servers), anything connected to a network (multifunction printers), phones (landline and mobile). There's a few other things you'll find if you go on Seek and look up a few job descriptions.

3. pay? the more things you do, the more you deserve and hopefully earn.
